MaWaVa Camp StaffMaWaVa Christian Camp has a dedicated group of counselors who love doing what they do! Our staff takes its cue from 1 Kings 17:1-6 where Elijah is feed by the Brook Cherith. Our goal is to provide spiritual norishment to our campers throughout camp. For this reason, we all have bird names! The majority of our current counselors have extensive training through our CILT (Camper In Leadership Training) program, which is an elite program for campers who've finished 8th grade. You can get more information about the CILT program here. If you are interested in joining our team of counselors, please contact our camp director with any questionsby emailing mawavacc@aol.com . You can also download our Staff Application below and submit it to the same address. Each month, we'll be highlighting a different counselor, so check back to see if one of your counselors is on here! Meet Mally!![]() What is a "Mally" exactly? Mally is short for Mallard Duck. How long have you been at camp? Well, I have come for about 10 years now. I went through Voyager, Pathfinder, Trailblazer, Challenger, Explorer and CILT. What do you do at camp? I help Looney out in the Tuck Shop [Camp Store] and teach a Cooking class. I also help out as Support Staff, doing whatever else needs to be done. So Mally, what do you do when you're not at camp? Well, I volunteer with my local library system, church activities, and going with life. What is your favorite camp memory? My favorite camp memory is being in the CILT program and being woken up by the CILT 3's for our induction into the CILT program. I was a Christmas tree and remember that I could not talk all day. And then another memory I have is my first CILT camp out when it rained for the whole weekend. |
